It rained for two consecutive nights in Sankanan on the last week of Lent. On the third evening, the clouds cleared up and this majestic splatter of stars hung like an intricate curtain above Kitanglad mountain range.
The few days I’ve spent in this wonderful place provided much-needed rest and reset for my peace of mind.
Beyond the scenery, it is the company that is the unexpected gift that came at a time when it was most valued. And to this, I thank the amusing ways of the universe in connecting people — how someone I just knew through a friend from oceans away would be the bridge to this lovely person who was from a past that transcends to the present.
