The Trip That Was

The first quarter of 2021 is a picture of too many things happening at the same time.

Too many worries, too many problems, too many thoughts occupying my waking life. Lines are blurred as stressful realities merge with anxious dreams. Work and play, rest and grind, worries and aspirations. The Tawi-Tawi trip in itself is the best example of this. I was surrounded by so much beauty and I wanted to marvel at the magnificence of it. But it felt like falling with one foot on the ground. I can’t fully immerse when my worries anchor me to the shore of seemingly limitless frustrations. Ah, such a pity to be surrounded by that much beauty and then forget the experience, not even a month after.

I am merely floating in a universe of chances.
