Today, I am alone...

... and realized how I actually long for solitude. Solitude is when I am left with my thoughts and I do not have to deal with anyone. I can immerse myself in the feeling for as long as I want to. I can listen to music or sing out loud without worrying whether someone would disapprove. I have been so used to this solitude that I now embrace it willingly. Considering how long I have been by myself, I am unsure whether I could stand living with someone all the time. Sure, it is nice to be with the company of people every now and then; but it is hard to beat the experience of a quiet evening with yourself.
